Indore Metro is an ambitious rapid transit system which is still under construction. As per reports, the metro will function on both driver and drive-less technology namely GOA-2 (Grade of Automation-2) and GOA-4 (Grade of Automation-4).

According to reports, the metro train will be operated by a driver in the initial phase, which will later be shifted to GOA-4 setup.

GOA-2 and GOA-4 technologies

GOA-2 operated metro trains will be driven by a driver in the leading Driving Motor Car (DMC) with all the required controlling systems. Meanwhile, in GOA-4, one of the most advanced railway automation systems, the metro trains run without a driver or DMC. It is also knock as Unattended Train Operation (UTO). With GOA-4 technology the trains will function automatically; from halting at stations to moving on their tracks.

As per officials, there will be a longitudinal seating arrangement in the 3-car Indore Metro Rail with passenger capacity upto 971.
