Fostering the use of cashless services in the state, UPSRTC has now enabled the use of a digital payment system in state buses of Lucknow, Kanpur and other UP districts. The authority has initiated this service for all the buses from today and through this, the commuters will be able to pay their ticket fare using any UPI-based app including Paytm, Google Pay, Phone Pe etc.

Reportedly, the bus conductors of UPSRTC buses have been provided with specialized android-based ticketing machines. These machines will display dedicated quick response (QR) codes for ticket generation. Commuters will be able to make payments by scanning these QR codes through UPI apps and proceeding with pin verification.

After the validation of the payment, the ticketing machine will auto-generate a ticket which will be given to the commuter.
