Aiming to ensure enhanced access to public welfare schemes in the state, the Goa government has launched a special initiative for taking the benefits of state-run projects to the citizens' doorsteps. This plan has been implemented in a bid to boost the reach of government schemes in the coastal state. As per reports, the Chief Minister informed that the program named "Sarkar Tumchya Dari" (government at your doorstep) will be initiated from the Thivim assembly constituency in North Goa.
Issues related to Aadhaar cards, voter IDs and others to be resolved
Through the program, the authorities will look into the matters, that have been brought to the limelight by the local residents. Besides, all pending issues related to various facets of government assured aid will be resolved.
According to reports, the officials will undertake focused measures for addressing the woes of the state dwellers. As a part of this program, the state authorities will try to work solutions for matters related to Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, Dayanand Social Security Scheme, Kisan cards and other similar welfare projects. In an attempt to assure the proper execution of the plans, this program will be rolled out across varied constituencies of the territory.
While a large number of welfare schemes are functional in the state, the lack of awareness and institutional lags hamper the seamless flow of benefits. In view of this, it is important for the local and state-level authorities to intervene with such initiatives to bridge the gap between the benefactor and beneficiaries.
