Negative COVID report & single-dose vaccination mandatory for students of IIM Indore

Students have to undergo a 7-day quarantine period before rejoining activities

With the dwindling infection rates in the city, students of IIM Indore have started returning to the campus. Reportedly, the college authorities have mandated the presence of a negative COVID report for a test conducted within 72 hours prior to entry and a single dose vaccination certificate from the students coming back to the institute. As per reports, nearly 1,000 pupils are returning back to the college now.

According to reports, IIM officials apprised that the health of the students will be checked at the medical centre. Besides, they will have to undergo a quarantine period of 7 days before they rejoin the academics and other activities at the campus. Reportedly, the IIM administration informed that over a thousand students are currently enrolled in 2nd and 3rd years of IPM, PGP, EPGP, FPM and PGP HRM courses at the campus.

It has been reported that the students are being granted entry into the college, in batches of nearly 100 to 150 individuals. Before admission into the campus, pupils are being asked to produce a single dose inoculation certificate and a negative COVID report.

As per the available information, classes are being conducted with one-third of the total strength of students. Further, the authorities are making sure that all COVID-related guidelines and protocols are followed at the institute. As the fear of an impending third wave lingers on continuously, it is pertinent to ensure that no lags lead to a revived acceleration of infections.
