Adding to the cashless initiatives of India, the Atal Indore City Transport Service Limited (AICTSL) has now started its cashless ticketing facility for city buses in Indore. Reportedly, the service will be carried out in phases. Currently, it has been enabled only on one route – R4 (from APJ Abdul Kalam University to Reti Mandi).
For this, POS machines have been installed on five buses operational on the route which will accept all kinds of cashless payment methods. Commuters will also be able to book tickets using the Chalo app. Furthermore, an assistant will also be present on buses in case a passenger is unable to pay the fare digitally in case of any kind of technical error.
