Mango Jatra 2024 in Indore: A perfect blend of flavours and sustainability!

The Mango Jatra Festival 2024, held from May 17-19 at Gramin Hat Bazar, Indore, celebrated a successful, zero waste and sustainable event with over 5000 participants. This vibrant festival showcased the cultural heritage and agricultural importance of mangoes, featuring 23 traders from Maharashtra’s Konkan region. Residents eagerly awaited the event, flocking to taste and buy a variety of mangoes, particularly the renowned Aapus mangoes.

The festival also highlighted delicious mango-based dishes, drawing significant attention. This year's event emphasised sustainability, avoiding single-use plastics, using biodegradable materials, and efficiently processing all waste. The festival set a new benchmark for eco-friendly events in Indore, reflecting a strong commitment to a cleaner, greener city. Organisers noted a remarkable response from the community, ensuring the festival’s continued success and popularity.
