Ginger, the newest fine dine restaurant is winning our hearts with its delectable dishes

Sometimes, all you want from a meal outing is some peace, quiet and lots of delicious food. Visiting a restaurant reminds us of the glory days of our past, when we had no worries as we went there with our entire family. Even today, these restaurants hold a special place in our hearts and that is exactly why you have to head over to Ginger.

This newest addition in Lucknow's fine dine scene, comes as a breath of fresh air.

Upon your entry, you'll be greeted with one of the most chic and subtle decor that you've ever seen. We would suggest that you go here for a lunch with family as the natural lighting is plentiful and adds a nice aura to the place.

The interiors as well are nicely done, with classy ceiling and wall elements here and there. Surely, you'll be enamoured by the down toned grandeur of the restaurant. Since it is rather open and spacious, even if you go with your entire extended family (annoying relatives included) you'll have a fun time.

Surely, you're going to be here for the food and skimming through the menu at Ginger is enough to kindle the taste buds. The options here are plentiful and you'll certainly take a while to decide what everyone should have.

Spring Rolls

From the starter menu, we would recommend trying the classic Spring Rolls and a unique dish that goes by the name Konjee Krispy Lamb. Both the dishes are great appetizers that manage to stir up a storm in your mouth. The Krispy Lamb especially stands out. It has a delectable outer layer, which is crispy yet juicy all the way inside the meat.

One dish that will go down well with everyone, is the Paneer Malai Kofta. With flavours to satiate anyone's palette. With subtle, smoky flavours the kofta goes especially well with the freshly made minty chutney.

Mutton Seekh Kebab

Our favourite of the lot was perhaps the Mutton Seekh Kebab, which hits the right notes. With smooth and juicy flavours with a tangy twist, it certainly held up the to age old heritage of the dish.

The main course itself has a bunch of varied options to choose from. We tried the Amritsari Paneer and the Mutton Kadhai. Though both of them had a similar preparation, they were as distinct as can be. The Paneer had hints of spice and a few toned down flavours, paired with some buttery naan, it was probably the highlight of our meal.

For meat lovers, the Mutton Kadhai is the way to go. Spicy and hot flavours in the dish fused with a great masala are what make the dish a hot favourite here. Surely, there's something here that will make your palate go wild, no matter how young or old you are.

Well, there you have it. Ginger is a one off place that will surely make you question exactly why you chose the loud bistros over any other fine dine place in the city. For a calm dinner date or a family meal, Ginger is where you have to be. If for some reason, you feel like staying at home and skipping the traffic and the hassles of going out, you can order in from Ginger using the Zomato app.
