With a motive to cater to the surging fuel demand in Uttar Pradesh, oil manufacturing companies (OMCs) are set to open 6,609 new outlets across the state.
Reportedly, there are plans for the expansion of fuel stations by various oil companies in India. The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) is planning to open 3,275 new fuel stations. Similarly, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) will open 1,834 new stations, and the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. is expected to open 1,500 new stations. Out of these, a total of 232 new fuel stations will be opened in Lucknow.
The proposed expansion of fuel stations aims to cater to emerging markets, including urban areas, upcoming highways and rural areas of UP. This move will not only address the growing energy needs of the state but will also create employment opportunities.
