Lucknow on Sunday observed one of its hottest day of 2019 and if the met department is to be believed, there won’t be any relief soon. 2019 has been one of the most adverse in terms of climate change. With the late-almost non existent winters and unrelenting summer heat waves, the year has so far not been very promising in terms of the weather.
What’s the update?
On Sunday, Lucknow recorded one of the highest temperatures of the season. City’s maximum temperature went up to 41.5 degrees celsius and minimum temperature touched 25 degrees celsius. Marking Lucknow’s highest recorded temperature of the season yet. A statement released by the Indian Meteorological Department said that the temperatures will remain 2-3 degrees above the normal range.
The Facts
Lucknow’s temperature, much like other cities in UP is expected to remain the same over the next two days and might even rise further to cross the 42 mark. The dry winds coming in from Rajasthan are responsible for the said rise. The heat wave will sustain till Wednesday-Thursday, when the western disturbance is expected to bring rain to some parts of East UP, including Lucknow and most of Western UP and NCR.

What to expect?
The humidity has been quite high since the last few days and taking in account the expected rise. You may expect the temperatures in the city to go up to 44 degrees. Monday and Tuesday are expected to be especially hot. Starting Wednesday, you can expect the temperature to go down and the air to be lighter and less humid.
