The online booking for premium vehicle numbers in the QL series has kicked off today at the RTO Office on Deva Road, Lucknow. Interested applicants can join the auction and secure their preferred fancy numbers through the Transport Department’s official website: parivahan.gov.in/fancy.
VIP or fancy vehicle numbers, highly coveted for their distinctiveness, are now up for grabs through an e-auction conducted by the Regional Transport offices. Place your bid, compete with other enthusiasts, and if you have the highest bid, the exclusive number is yours!
Step-by-step guide to booking a VIP number

Visit the official parivahan website and register as a public user.

Create an account and log in.

Select the respective Regional Transport Office (RTO) and browse the list of available fancy numbers. If a specific number is desired, its availability can also be checked. The applicable reservation fee for each number will be displayed.

Pay the required registration fee to reserve the selected number.

Participate in the online auction, place bids, and monitor competing offers. If required, the bid can be increased to secure the number.

Once the auction concludes, the winning bidder must complete the payment. Unsuccessful bidders can claim a refund.

Print the allotment letter, which serves as official proof of ownership of the VIP number. The document must be presented at the ARTO office when submitting the vehicle for registration.
NOTE: Once a fancy number is successfully booked, the vehicle must be presented at the RTO Office within one month, for registration. This will ensure that the number is officially allotted.
