Lucknow is set to get its first ever 18 hole golf course in Vasat Kunj, close to the historic Musa Bagh monument. It will be spread over 65 acres and would be the third golf course open to public in Lucknow.

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has proposed this 18 hole sprawling golf course under its plan to develop a 165-acre forest cover in the Vasant Kunj area. Though Lucknow already has several golf courses, this one will be the first 18-hole golf course in Lucknow. It will be surrounded by lush greenery as the Vasant Kunj forest cover will be the second largest in the city after Janeshwar Mishra Park.
LDA Vice President, Prabhu N Singh was reported saying that this golf course was in addition to the already proposed forest cover in the Vasant Kunj area. He also said that since the existing golf courses are all 9 holes, the need for a bigger 18 hole golf course was felt imminent seeing the growing population of the city.

The golf course will be constructed under a public-private partnership and horticulture officials from LDA have already been directed to inspect the area and mark land for the construction of the course. Once it is constructed, the LDA plans to outsource the operation of this golf course through bidding, a senior LDA official was reported saying that the LDA is already working on rules and regulations for the same.
The lush golf course will be located near the river bed of Gomti hence people will have an amazing view of the water body.
