Lucknow woke up to light drizzles and strong winds on the morning of 25th August, bringing a welcome respite from the heat. The weather will remain cloudy throughout the day, with temperatures expected to stay between 26°C and 31°C, according to the IMD.
The pleasant weather follows Sunday’s downpour, which started in the afternoon, drenching areas like Krishnanagar, Sarojini Nagar, and Chowk with heavy rain. Gomtinagar saw drizzle accompanied by gusty winds, while BKT area experienced rain as evening fell.
Widespread rain to drench Uttar Pradesh
The Meteorological Department forecasts more of the same for the coming days, with heavy rainfall continuing until August 28. Lucknow and its surrounding areas, including Ghazipur, Mau, Gorakhpur, and Gonda, are set to enjoy consistent showers, providing much-needed relief from the scorching heat. Further north, districts like Saharanpur, Agra, and Meerut will also see rainfall and thundershowers today and in the coming days. The cooler weather is expected to last until August 29, after which conditions may shift again.
