What’s New?
Central Zoo Authority (CZA) is the supreme body for Zoo in India and animal exchange programmes need approvals by this authoritative institute to execute the plans!
After receiving the necessary approvals from the Central Zoo Authority (CZA), Lucknow Zoo will also be welcoming a pair of Leopard cats and a Himalayan Black bear from the regions of Dimapur Zoo, Nagaland!

Wallabies and flamingos from Zlin Zoo in Czech Republic, spectacled langur and pig-tailed macaque from Sepahijila Zoological Garden in Tripura will also hopefully be brought in, to make the Lucknow Zoo even more lively and wild!

It is speculated that a hippopotamus from Bannerghatta National Park in Bengaluru will soon set base here at the Zoo while white tigers will be transported from the Delhi Zoo to be paired with our royal Vishakha, the white tigress!

Lucknow zoo director RK Singh was also quoted saying, “In the next 2-3 months, we are hopeful of receiving 5-6 species of other famous wild animals!”
The Lucknow Zoo also has an Audio Tour facility where you carry a smart audio assistant in your pocket which will enable you to get the details about various zoo attractions with automatic location detection and audio stories!
