According to the officials at the state’s Meteorological Department, the heat wave is expected to stay put for the entire week only to give way to a calmer Monday.

Monday, which is often regarded as the most stressful day of the week, will bring in welcome news for the residents of Lucknow. The city that has been boiling at a temperature of 43 degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius in certain parts of the city, will record a drop in the temperature after the storm.
You can also expect to say buh-bye to the hot winds that have been coming in from the desert area of Rajasthan.

What is causing the change?
According to the met department, a western disturbance over the Himalayas will cause a change in the pattern of the winds, due to which thunderstorms could hit many areas of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow.
So if you are making plans to go out and have a wee bit of fun, wait till Monday or later and then step out to enjoy the forgiving weather.
