From January 26, tourists and locals can pay a visit to the dilapidated structures of the British Residency in Lucknow and immerse themselves in a sound and light show. The sound and light show displays the life and times of the structure itself, and takes us a trip down the history lane.

One of Lucknow’s most revered relic of the past, The Residency had been lying untouched and neglected for quite a while. Now with the intervention of the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, the sound and light show at Residency is a thing to be marveled at once again.
Now, the place exudes a charm of its own. This charm is only taken to the next level once you learn all about The Residency’s riveting history and importance in the past- all through the sound and light show.
From January 26, Lucknowites can treat their senses to an amazing sound and light show, right here in the city. This comes after a rehearsal of the same programme that took place a few days back.
As for the sound and light show itself, it promises a slew of entertaining snippets. Complete with 4D sounds, lasers, projection lights, holograms and a whole lot more, the show just takes you back in time. The sound and light show also touches upon how important a role the British Residency played in the siege of 1857. In fact, it also tells the tales of a time when Lucknow was called “Lakshmanpuri”.
