In a bid to boost the wilting economic conditions at present, the UP government is giving businesses a gateway to operate and restart their economic activities again. With the announcement of Unlock 4.0, the authorities have partially lifted the weekend lockdown scheme where in the shops and markets will remain closed only on Sundays now. These businesses will be allowed to operate for 12 hours, from 9 AM to 9 PM from Monday to Saturday. Even the sanitisation of public areas will be carried out on Sundays only and essential services will still be allowed.

The officials have also ordered the concerned authorities to increase the COVID-19 testing capacities from the present count to 1.5 lakhs on an urgent basis, till the time any vaccine isn’t released. The state is also launching sero-survey from the 4th of September, which is almost three weeks ahead of the initial schedule. The government is also planning on forming a team of medical specialists, who can address the grievances of patients on digital platforms.
Although schools, coaching centres and colleges are shut, students ranging from 9th to12th standard, who are living outside of the containments zones can pay a visit to their institutions to take help from their teachers. This will be allowed from the 21st of September. Teaching and non-teaching staff maybe called to the institution premises, for online education processes but they have to follow the official SOPs to do so.
