Curfew extended in Goa till September 6; check guidelines here!

In a bid to maintain its grip over the controlled COVID cases in the state, the Goa government has extended the ongoing curfew restrictions till September 6. While the statewide curfew was imposed for the first time on May 9, the territorial administration has rolled out repetitive extensions since then, to mitigate the possibility of a revived acceleration in cases. Further, the state authorities had permitted cinema halls and multiplexes to operate at 50% capacity, last Sunday.

Goa curfew extended till August 16

In a bid to mitigate a revived acceleration of infections, the Goa administration has extended the continuing curfew for a period of one week till 7 AM on August 16. Notably, the curfew was first imposed on May 9 during the second wave of the pandemic and it has been extended multiple times since then. While the government has offered a number of relaxations during the past month, the ongoing curbs will remain to be in place as of now.

Curfew restrictions extended for a week in Goa till 7 AM on July 26!

As a move of caution against the ongoing pandemic, the Goa government has extended the curfew restrictions for one more week till 7 AM on July 26. While the restraints were first imposed on May 9, they have now stretched for a period of more than 2 and a half months. Notably, gyms, religious places, shops, malls and other places have been allowed to reopen with certain terms and conditions, the basic one being complete adherence to COVID protocol.

Curfew extended in Goa till July 19, check what's allowed & what's not!

Aiming to further clamp the infection rate in Goa, the state government has announced the extension of the ongoing curfew till July 19. While some relaxations have been offered to ease day-to-day dealings for the public, the larger restraints will be functional till 7 AM on July 19. Notably, gyms are permitted to reopen with 50% capacity and sports complexes are allowed to operate without an in-house audience. Besides, religious places will allow visitors with a cap of 15 people at a time.

COVID curfew in Goa may extend beyond July 12 amid pandemic fears

Amid the widespread threat of COVID-19, the presence of new virus strains and the expected 'third wave', the Goa Chief Minister on Friday hinted that the state-level curfew might be extended here. In a public statement, the CM stated that the government needs to think about continuing the state curfew beyond July 12. It may be noted that some relaxations, with respect to operations of restaurants, bars and outdoor sports complexes were awarded on July 2 here.
