'Ships of the Desert' are making a  comeback in Jaipur & other Raj districts owing to travel curbs

Owing to the travel restrictions filed by the Rajasthan government to tackle the second COVID wave, an age-old tradition has made its way back to the Pink City and other districts across the state. Now, since buses can move with only 50% capacity and the number of wedding guests cannot exceed beyond 31, camels are back in action to transport the groom and the guests to the bride's residence.

New COVID cases marked at 3,441 in Jaipur with the highest-ever fatalities on Saturday!

Spilling out unmatched fears amongst the citizens in Jaipur, the harrowing effects of the second COVID wave are increasing every day. On Saturday, an alarming number of 3,441 new infections was recorded in the city, stretching the tally of active patients to 39,824. While the recovery count has been stable with 1,348 recoveries registered on Saturday, it is perturbing to note that the highest-ever count of 54 fatalities was marked on the same day.

COVID horror continues in Jaipur as fresh cases surge beyond the 3000-mark for the 6th day now!

The pandemic scare in Jaipur continues to plague the city with over 3,000 fresh cases for the sixth consecutive day on Wednesday. Around 3,014 new detections were logged in here, raising the aggregate tally to 1,03,665 cases, the highest in Rajasthan. At almost half, around 1,325 recoveries were also registered on Wednesday, pushing the active load to as many as 33,324 patients. Additionally, the surging toll is mounting the horror of the second wave across the state, where around 32 deaths were reported in Jaipur itself.

Jaipur's COVID graph dips marginally as daily tally of new cases drops to 2,878 on Monday

Amid the high threat of COVID-19 spread across the country, Jaipur is witnessing a downward trend in the number of new cases, which can be credited to a stabilised transmission rate. The city recorded 2,878 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and even though this tally is quite high, it is marginally lower than the previous days and is definitely a welcome relief. At present, there are about 29,388 active cases in Jaipur, where areas such as Jhotwara, Pratapnagar, Malviya Nagar and Mansarovar have emerged as the worst-hit regions.

Rajasthan government launches 24-hour COVID-19 helpline in Jaipur & all other districts

In wake of the swelling rise of coronavirus infection across Rajasthan, the state government on Sunday launched round the clock helpdesks and helpline numbers to resolve emergency and distress across Jaipur and other districts. The helpline numbers, 2225624 and 2225000 will fall under the supervision of Director RCH Dr. Laxman Singh Ola and people can avail of these services anytime to register complaints. COVID inquiries and other queries will also be addressed here.
