A well-balanced and hygienically prepared meal is what many people dream of and amid this pandemic, getting even one meal throughout the day has become a far-fetched dream for many individuals. This is especially true for people who are suffering from COVID-19 in isolation with no one around for help and the underprivileged sections of society with parched income.

Coming to the rescue of such people, Jaipur-based Abhyutthanam Society has taken up the task of providing them with proper food. Established in 2014 as an NGO advocating for the 'Right to Education', this society has been providing free meals to COVID patients, their kins and the economically deprived residents in the city.

Lockdown in Jaipur & other Rajasthan districts may extend up to May 31 with relaxations

The state of Rajasthan is imploring on the possibility of extending the COVID-19 lockdown across Jaipur and other districts in a bid to prolong the dampened infection spread, awarded by the restrictions. As per reports, the administration may stretch the validity of these curbs from May 24 to May 31 to bolster healing trends across the territory. The final decision will be taken after a virtual review meeting of the cabinet today, read reports. The present lockdown restrictions are in effect since May 10 here.

Jaipur continues to be on the pandemic radar even as Rajasthan records an infection dip

Relief washes over Rajasthan as the pandemic graph plunged on Tuesday, after a continual rise for 31 days. COVID calamity continues in Jaipur; 4,099 new infections reported on Thursday!

After marginal dips were witnessed in Jaipur's COVID tallies over the past few days, the fresh case count sprung up again on Thursday with 4,099 new detections. Accelerated by this, the count of active patients has reached an alarming figure of 51,210. While recoveries have risen in the past week oscillating around the 3K mark, new infections continue to topple them, thereby expanding the crisis in the state capital.

Black Fungus cases reported in Jaipur add to the city's pandemic woes!

Adding on to the woes of the pandemic, there have been reports of Black Fungus infection in a handful of COVID survivors in Jaipur and the count seems to be snowballing each day, across various regions. Reportedly, 14 patients have been detected with the infection in the last 12 hours and according to the head of the ENT department at SMS hospital, from August to December last year, around 24 such cases were noted. Although most of these patients were treated by doctors in time, a few have ended up losing their eyesight due to this infection. The genesis and repercussions of the Black Fungus have caused concern among citizens.
