IMD forecasts heavy rainfall over Goa, Maharashtra & several Indian states for the next 4 days!

As per weather forecasts, the extended monsoons are set to gain strength over the southern peninsular region of India. Reportedly, a rainy spell will cast widespread to fairly widespread showers for the next four days here. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that a heavy downpour will wash the Konkan coast and Goa, stretching upto central Maharashtra and Marathwada today. The weather shall continue to remain so until September 9.

IMD issues 'Yellow Alert' in Jaipur

Amid the extended episode of the monsoons, rains are expected in Jaipur this weekend with forecasts of heavy showers across the eastern regions of Rajasthan. Subsequently, the eastern parts of the desert state will reel under orange alert from July 30 to August 1 while a yellow alert has been issued for Jaipur for the 30th and 31st July. Reportedly, spells of rains along with thunderstorms may be witnessed in the pink city today.

Heavy rains hit Jaipur, Kota & other regions in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Kota and several other regions in Rajasthan welcomed the first showers of monsoon on Saturday and witnessed intense isolated showers through Sunday. As per Jaipur's Meteorological Department, these rains have been brought by the third spell of the southwest winds, washing the eastern part of the state. The satellite imaging here also revealed a thick nimbus cover over Jaipur and adjoining districts, indicating rains till Tuesday.
