Sunday’s temperature of 16.7 degrees Celsius, was the lowest for February this year, in Mumbai. The minimum temperature is expected to stay in the range of 17–18°C for the next three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), which attributes this decline to northerly winds.
Colaba recorded 18.8°C, one degree higher than normal, while Santacruz observatory recorded 16.7°C. Maximum temperatures in the suburbs and the island city continued to hover between 30 and 31°C despite the chilly mornings. IMD forecasts indicate that while rain is anticipated in certain districts over the next few days, Mumbai is not expected to receive any.
