The host city, Goa and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports along with the local organising committee of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 have officially unveiled the Host City Logo. The seventh edition of FIFA U-17 is scheduled to take place between October 11 and 30. India will participate in the championship alongside 16 international teams.

FIFA U-17 Women‘s World Cup 2022
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is the world championship for female athletes under or up to the age of 17. Started back in 2008, the last edition of the tournament was hosted by Uruguay in 2018. Currently, Spain holds the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup trophy.
India has been honoured to host the seventh edition of FIFA U17 WWC. The event will leave a lasting legacy that will inspire millions of Indian girls to embrace football and sports in general. Scheme of Assistance to National Sports Federations (NSFs) has released a financial budget of ₹10 crores to assist the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with field maintenance, stadium power management, cabling, and branding.
Kalinga Stadium to be home ground of team India
The U-17 Indian women’s football team has been put in Group A along with Morocco, Brazil, USA, Chile and New Zealand. The initial matches of the Group stage will be played on October 11 between:

Morocco vs Brazil: Kalinga stadium at 4:30 PM

India vs USA: Kalinga stadium at 8:00 PM
The Indian U-17 WWC team will play all their matches at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Other venues for the tournament are Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
FIFA also unveiled the official mascot of the U-17 Women’s World Cup, Ibha. It is an Asiatic lioness, representing women’s power that aims at inspiring women and girls across the world to realise their true potential.
