Amid the festival season, North-Easter Railways (NER) has decided to run 5 festival special trains via Lucknow. These special trains will likely increase connectivity between major destinations like Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Varanasi and more.
Additionally, Indian Railways has also planned a total of 179 festival special trains across the country. Passengers can book these special trains by either the NTES app or IRCTC’s official website.
Special trains to make way for increased passengers
Keeping in mind the heavy passenger rush, Indian Railways has also deployed additional RPF staff at major stations across the country to ensure passenger safety. As per the Railway ministry, special officers and staff have been deployed for overlooking any kind of disruption in railway services.
Moreover, duplicate trains, namely, Anand Vihar-Lucknow Duplicate AC special and Hazrat Nizamuddin-Lucknow Duplicate AC special will operate till November 7.

Train no. 04048 Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur Festival SPL
The festival special train will operate on October 20 via Moradabad, Chandausi, Lucknow and Gorakhpur.
