As part of Kanpur Smart City plans, children’s parks at Phool Bagh are slated to be revamped soon, with modern facilities. The Ganesh Udyan and Shyam Narayan Gupta Parshad Park’s Children’s Parks in Phool Bagh will be adorned with new amenities.
All about the development
Budgeted at ₹2.65 crore, work on the embellishment of Shyam Lal Gupta Parshad statue, water harvesting, horticulture connection work, among others, has begun. Besides, electrical beautification work will be carried out here.
Construction of modern swings for the recreation and entertainment of children is also underway. Some of these equipment include slides, net jumpers, infinity bowl, etc.
Inspection was also recently carried out by the city commissioner in the park and Sitaram Enterprises, the organisation responsible for sprucing up the parks, has been instructed to expedite the process.
