The long-awaited debut of these lines aimed to slash vehicular congestion by a 25%, offering relief along the New Link Road and between Dahisar East and DN Nagar. Serving as a vital alternative to local train services, these new Mumbai Metro routes bear the weight of the city’s bustling commute.
Notably, the interchange hub at Gundavali Station, linking Metro lines 7 and 1 via a convenient foot-over bridge, has emerged as a commuter favourite, sparing them the hassle of navigating through traffic for line changes.
