With the arrival of the Sawan month in the Hindu calendar, the Kanwar Yatra processions have commenced in Lucknow. To ensure the safety of the devotees, the state government has put a restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles on certain routes. Additionally, the government has issued a list of alternate routes:

Heavy vehicles entering from Rai Bareili will now use the Uchchahar-Nawabganj route to Pratapgarh.

Vehicles coming from Mohanlalganj will take the Bachhrawa-Harchandpur route.
Readers using these highway routes are advised to plan their schedules accordingly, as these alternate routes could remain congested during late hours.
