In a bid to boost passenger convenience and ensure a relaxing waiting time for them, Kanpur Railway Station will soon get air-conditioned sleeping pods. This new upgrade has been inspired by similar facilities in railway stations in Japan.
With this upgrade, Kanpur will become the second district in Uttar Pradesh after Prayagraj to have such sleeping pods at the railway station. Notably, this facility at the Kanpur station will be chargeable with the rates decided at ₹150 (1 hour), ₹350 (3 hours), and ₹1400 (full day).
