Now, everyday more than 60,000 people are using the Metro daily for commute. The ‘early craze rush’ which people called the large turnout is now gone and still the metro is able to maintain its daily footfall. In sharp comparison to Noida’s Aqua Line Metro which is only used by around 10,000 people in a day, the Lucknow Metro is showing the need of a good public transport system.

Lucknow Metro is getting 6 times more footfall than the Noida’s Aqua Line. This shows that metro is not just a public transportation system of metropolitan cities. It is the need of a city and the numbers prove this.
A resident of Vikas Nagar, Soumen Bhattacharya said, “Lucknow Metro has made it convenient for me to travel to Hazratganj and Airport. It is now easy and affordable for me to take metro from Badhshah Nagar station to board a train at Charbagh.”
