On Wednesday, Lucknow reported over 600 new COVID-19 cases within 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases to 4,513. This list of patients also includes the state law minister, Brijesh Pathak and 2 employees of the 1090 Women Power Line office.
1090 Helpline Office shut for 48 hours
Since the virus has affected 2 of the personnel here, the power-line office will be kept shut for 2 days. The other employees and officials who’ve come in contact with them, are also being tested actively. Citizens who wish to report their grievances can alternatively call on 112 or register a complaint with the UP Police Emergency Management System.
Till date, 3 residents from the radio-diagnosis department of SGPGIMS and 8 ministers have also tested positive for the virus. With confirmed 5,000 COVID-19 reports within a span of just 2 weeks, the state of the city is definitely unsettling and it is obvious that the curve is far from being flattened.
