Lucknow Airport administration has rolled out a list of schemes for the benefit of differently-abled passengers, pregnant women and the elderly. Under this initiative, dedicated parking spots at the pick-up and drop-off points have been created for these individuals. In addition to this, the project entails the reservation of seats for passengers with special needs, at the boarding gates. Priority rooms for security checks will also be set up.
Priority seating arrangement, in the waiting halls
On Tuesday, the authorities at Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow initiated a separate parking space for specially-abled commuters, pregnant women and senior citizens. Further, a priority seating arrangement has been introduced at the waiting halls of the airport complex. This step is aimed at ensuring that the passengers with special needs do not face any inconvenience at the airport premises.
As a part of this program, the security check halts will get designated rooms for passengers from the stated groups, so that they do not have to stand in long waiting queues. With the introduction of these facilities, it is expected that a large number of flyers will be benefitted.
Indoor & outdoor eating joints set up at the Airport premises
While the current intervention will usher significant relief for passengers with special needs, a number of other schemes are also being worked out at the Lucknow Airport. Notably, indoor and outdoor eating joints have been set up at the airport premises and the officials are planning to execute more initiatives for upgrading passenger welfare.
