If you’ve ever tried booking a train between Kanpur and Bengaluru in May, you know the drill, waitlists, overbooked coaches, and zero good options. Indian Railways just answered that with a dedicated weekly special from April to July, running every Sunday from Kanpur Central (04131) at 4:30 PM, pulling into SMVT Bengaluru on Tuesday. Return trips leave Bengaluru (04132) every Wednesday at 7:10 AM.
The service runs April through July, covering the entire summer rush, with stops at Prayagraj, Nagpur, and Vijayawada en route. It’s clearly aimed at families and students making the most of school holidays, long-distance, high-demand, and historically painful to plan.
No layovers, no complicated connections. Just a straight shot between two cities that needed this link badly.
