Earthquake panic in Ahmedabad caused some residents to rush out of their homes after news of a magnitude 6.8 earthquake in parts of Pakistan on the night of March 21. Even though the government is yet to confirm any tremors of aftershocks in Gujarat, residents in some Ahmedabad areas report to have felt tremors.
Residents took to social media to report tremors
It must be noted that tremors caused by last night’s earthquake were felt for several seconds in parts of Uttar Pradesh and neighboring regions but no such confirmation from the authorities has been put out for Ahmedabad.
Even so, residents from some areas of Ahmedabad including Nikol, Nareda and Chandkheda claim to have felt tremors and took to social media to post images of people rushing out of their houses and apartments. Some residents, on the other hand, tweeted late at night asking if anyone in Ahmedabad felt the tremors.
