Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), India's longest sea bridge, is all set to be inaugurated on January 12, as per an announcement by Maharashtra's Chief Minister. The 21.8-kilometer sea bridge is set to revolutionise connectivity, from Sewri in Mumbai to Nhava Sheva in the Raigad district. Simultaneously, it will significantly reduce travel time between the mainland and the island city, from two hours to 15-20 minutes.

The transformative impact was underscored by the state's Chief Minister, who mentioned that economic development and growth will be brought to areas connected to the bridge. The MTHL will also seamlessly integrate with the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, fostering enhanced connectivity between Maharashtra's key cities.

The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) project spans approximately 22 kilometres, making it the world's 12th longest sea bridge. Representing a noteworthy achievement in the nation's infrastructure development, the 6-lane MTHL will cover 16.50 kilometres over the sea and 5.50 kilometres on land.
