Celebrate Goa Carnival 2021 with Indigo's special in-flight Goan meals & more

Indigo flights to four major cities will serve the special meals from February 12th to 17th to mark the Goa Carnival.

With a recent announcement on Monday, IndiGo has made provisions to serve customized Goan meals on some of its flights to symbolise the upcoming state carnival, slated from February 13 till 16. However, the meals have to be pre-booked and they will be available for passengers on flights bound from Dabolim International Airport to four major cities across the country. This special meal facility will be provided to the air travellers, from February 12 to 17.

Indigo marks Goan Carnival from February 7th to 16th

"Eat, drink, and be merry as it is Carnival time! We're serving festive Goan treats such as Chicken Xacuti Sandwich on multigrain bread and Paneer Xacuti Sandwich on curry bread," read a tweet from Indigo's official handle. As per reports, flights from Goa to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, would be serving the special Goan meals on the designated dates.

Five airports across India- Goa, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are currently witnessing festivities organised by Indigo from the 7th of February till the 16th, to celebrate the Goa Carnival.

Among the events being organised by the low-cost airline to mark the carnival in the coastal state, Goan dance at the airport, traditional attires of the staff and the boarding announcements in Konkani and English are the highlights. The availability of authentic Goan meal on the onboard menu will definitely be the cherry on the cake. Passengers can relish both veg and non-veg Xacuti meals, upon pre-booking.

Indigo to start a number of direct flights in the near future

Reportedly, Indigo is planning to start multiple direct flights under the regional connectivity initiative called UDAN. Direct flights from Kurnool to Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Chennai shall become operational from March 28. According to a press release by the airline, all three flights would be functional on four days a week under the proposed scheme.

Indigo has always implemented interesting initiatives to attract hordes of air travellers. With its current plans, the airline is attempting to leave no stone unturned for boosting its business.
