Touted as Goa’s first and only vintage car museum, Ashvek Vintage World (AVW) was set up in July 2004. Over a dozen vintage cars are a part of its collection, which has been sourced from Goa or neighbouring areas, such as Sawantwadi and Belgaum. The brainchild of Pradeep V. Naik, AVW also organised India’s first Volkswagen Carnival Rally in 2006 and has been a pioneer in conducting similar events. For the love of old-world charm
Furthering the love for vintage cars among adults and seeding it in the hearts of the upcoming generations, Ashvek Vintage World showcases changing car aesthetics. Taking visitors on a trip through time, are its prized models such as the Chevrolet Fleet Master, which was popular in America in the 1930s as a ‘Mafia staff car’, Ford V8, Peugeot 301, Austin 1928 and the Morris 8.
Ashvek Vintage World also takes up restoration and preservation tasks for vintage vehicles and the money received through this, is reinvested in the company. Further, the expanse of this establishment has often hosted parties and get-togethers with its well-equipped hall on the first floor.

Mr. Naik has been quoted saying, “AVW will serve as education. There is an urgent need to preserve motoring treasures for posterity.”
