Mohan Brothers, 1st Musicians to present a Marvel of Jugalbandi at Grammy Museum, Los Angeles

Their unique style of playing Jugalbandi has enabled them to emerge as trendsetters in taking classical music to the mainstream.

The first musicians to represent India at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, brothers Lakshay Mohan and Aayush Mohan who play the Sitar and Sarod respectively, have gained immense following for their duet recitals on the international concert scene. They were even nominated for the Global Indian Music Academy Awards in Best Classical Instrumentalists category.

Recently, Lakshay Mohan (Sitar) and Aayush Mohan (Sarod) brought forth Marvel of Jugalbandi Season 2, a live concert tour in the Capital's Kamani Auditorium, where audience witnessed a celebration of the true spirit of Jugalbandi.

Jugalbandi - the art of playing duet

Lakshay and Aayush Mohan are being recognised as trendsetters in taking classical music to the mainstream through their unique style of playing  Jugalbandi while incorporating traditional techniques and repertoire in their playing.

They have been acknowledged by critics and connoisseurs for creating and introducing their own innovative style of playing duet. Their duet represents two united musical souls perfectly tuned into each other's aesthetic vision.

They have performed at a number of renowned venues and events. To mention a few, these include the Central Conservatory of Music in China, Thyagaraja Festival in Cleveland, Symphony Space in New York, Learnquest Music Conference in Boston, Berklee College of Music in Boston, Thyagaraja Festival in Cleveland, and the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa are just a few of the notable venues where they have performed in India.
