This facility is being launched to expand vaccination coverage to 1.5 lakh factory workers and their family members.
Scaling up the inoculation program in Indore, a mobile van will be deployed for conducting vaccination on wheels. As per reports, this flagship scheme has been initiated by the Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh (AIMP) to boost the ongoing drives in the city. With an objective of expanding vaccination coverage to 1.5 lakh factory workers and their family members residing in the industrial areas of Indore, the van will begin its journey from Wednesday.
Vaccine jabs to be provided without prior slot bookings
As per reports, a Minister-in-charge from the Madhya Pradesh government will inaugurate the facility on Wednesday. With the run of this van, the factory employees and their kin will be able to take their vaccine jabs without prior slot bookings. Reportedly, AIMP had started an ambulance service for industrial employees last year and now, this vehicle is being converted into a vaccine van. AIMP had received the ambulance as a donation from Asha Confectionary, a local company on Sanver Road.
Reportedly, the president of AIMP informed that the air-conditioned van will have an inoculation booth and a computer system. Beneficiaries will be given their jabs in the presence of nursing staff with great care and precision. It has been informed that the government is providing the doses for these drives.
