This was going to be a battle, we could sense it, and we hadn’t even finished the first plate. Nine stalls, each one convinced their version of Maggi was the definitive one, and Kanpur backing every single claim without a hint of irony. Some leaned into chaos with six ingredients per bowl; others stayed defiantly plain and dared you to complain. By the end, picking a favourite felt less like a review and more like choosing sides in a fight that was never actually going to end. So we didn’t pick, we just wrote it all down.
Aslam Maggi Point
Instant noodles made a promise: fast, forgettable, fine. Aslam Maggi Point broke it completely. Schezwan Maggi arrives with more attitude than the name suggests, Manchurian Maggi blurs the line between noodles and gravy, and Chilli Mushroom Maggi throws in a plot twist. Then there’s the All In One Maggi, for the truly indecisive, or the deeply hungry. Nobody’s ordering plain Maggi here anymore.

Honey Maggi Point
Some places have rules nobody wrote down but everyone follows. At Ganga Barrage, that rule is Maggi, you don’t visit one without the other, and Honey Maggi Point has made peace with being the reason why. Steam rising off the plates competes with the mist off the river, and it’s not always clear which one people came for. The barrage gets the postcard shots; Honey Maggi Point gets the actual loyalty. Every evening walk here somehow ends the exact same way.

Harcourtian Maggie Point
Every Maggi place thinks the noodles are the main character. Harcourtian Maggi Point quietly disagrees. The Maggi shows up, does its job, stays out of the way, and then the lehsun ki chutney walks in and takes over the entire plate. It’s sharp, it’s unapologetic, and it turns a routine plate of instant noodles into something you start rationing spoon by spoon. People remember the chutney’s name before they remember the stall’s. That’s not a side dish anymore, that’s a hijacking, and everyone’s fine with it.

Hungry Sharks
A place called Hungry Sharks should probably serve something more intimidating than Maggi. It doesn’t, and that’s the whole joke. Kulhad Maggi comes in earthy clay-pot respectability, Sayani Maggi and Pyari Panna Maggi sound like they wandered in from a soap opera script, and Chulnuli Maggi refuses to explain itself entirely. Nobody at Hungry Sharks is fighting over territory, they’re fighting over naming rights. The noodles taste like noodles, the names are doing all the biting.

Interpass Maggiwala
Every add-on here exists because the last one wasn’t enough. Cheese Maggi led to Cheese Corn Maggi, which apparently still left room for Veg Loaded Maggi, each version a little less “two-minute noodles” and a little more “full meal wearing a disguise.” Interpass Maggiwala didn’t set out to reinvent Maggi, Iit just kept adding things until it accidentally did.

Vashu Maggie Point
By now, every Maggi point in Kanpur seems to be competing over whose menu sounds the most invented. Vashu Maggi Point skipped that entirely. Plain Maggi is just Plain Maggi. Butter Maggi doesn’t pretend to be a personality. Veg and Paneer versions show up exactly as advertised, no elaborate names, no origin stories. It’s the menu equivalent of someone refusing to perform, and somehow, that’s exactly why people keep coming back.

Ganga Maggi Point
Ganga Maggi Point chases consistency, and it shows, Veg Maggi, Butter Maggi, Paneer Maggi, unchanged and unbothered by whatever’s trending two stalls down. There’s nothing here demanding your attention, which is exactly why people keep coming back without needing a reason. It’s the stall equivalent of a friend who’s never once let you down by trying too hard.

Chidiyaghar Maggi Point
Every zoo needs a food stall, but Kanpur’s zoo apparently needed one with enough gravity to build a reputation independent of the animals. Chidiyaghar Maggi Point has quietly pulled that off, people show up for the noodles and treat the actual zoo as a nice bonus. Somewhere along the way, the Maggi stall became the main attraction and the lions became the side act. Nobody’s proud of that ratio, everybody’s fine with it anyway.

Kishan Maggi Point
Kishan Maggi Point has probably seen more of Kanpur’s 3 AM decisions than anyone should admit to. Round-the-clock hours mean it’s fed the after-party crowd, the pre-exam panic crowd, and the “just needed to leave the house” crowd, often on the same night. Nothing here closes, which says less about ambition and more about how often people genuinely need Maggi at hours polite society doesn’t discuss.
