Indore has been experiencing a steady rise in the number of new cases, however, the scope of spread has widened. More and more areas of the city are now within the grip of the coronavirus, which is growing and transmitting at an alarming rate of 2.7% in Indore as well as Madhya Pradesh. To raise awareness among its citizen body, the Health Department released an area-wise list of infected patients in the city.
Widened Base of the coronavirus
On Friday, Indore added about 396 fresh cases to the total case tally of 18,717 infections in the city. With this high number, the city has yet again recorded the highest number of cases in Madhya Pradesh. Though the recovery rate overpowers the active tally percentage by 53%, the reach of the virus has broadened over the period and as many as 230 areas are now included in the list of those regions that have been infected with coronavirus cases.
As per the conclusions drawn by the Health Department, 8 new areas in Indore have been identified to be breeding coronavirus cases now. Following list indexes city areas along with the number of identified coronavirus cases:

With this report and further tallies of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Madhya Pradesh, the city of Indore has emerged as the worst-hit city district in the state. However, contrasting to the widened reach of the virus, the active cases on the city plummet to negative for two days in a row as the number of recoveries exceed new cases by 1,210, in the last couple of days.
