Starting from January 17, the 04161 Mail Express service, will depart from Kanpur at 7:50 AM.
Taking into account the convenience of passengers, the Railway authorities have taken up a decision to run a special train between Delhi and Kanpur, which will run on Sundays from both directions. Starting from January 17, the 04161 Mail Express service, known as the Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar Terminal Weekly Special will leave the city on at 7:50 AM and will reach Delhi at 6:20 PM on the same day.
Kalyanpur, Kannauj, Gosainganj, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad & so on, to be covered by the train
Further, train number 04162, Anand Vihar Terminal-Kanpur Central Weekly Special, will depart from Delhi on the 17th of January at 8:45 PM and reach Kanpur Central station at 6:20 AM, the next day.
While running towards its destination, from Kanpur to Delhi and vice-versa, this special train will cover Anwarganj, Kalyanpur, Kannauj, Gosainganj, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad, Bhogaon, Mainpuri, Shikohabad, Tundla and Aligarh stations. This weekly service will be assisting the travellers to cover the distance between Kanpur and Delhi seamlessly and it is bound to save time for passengers while also being a budget-friendly option, when compared to travelling by road or air.
Late last November, the Railways had also introduced a train service with an increased speed of 130 kmph, which was transporting the passengers from Kanpur to Delhi, in just 4.5 hours, in contrast to its usual duration. This train was equipped with LHB coaches coupled with advanced technology.
