From Humble Beginnings to Masters of the Hype
Bringing the Hype Room to Lucknow are two friends- Shubh and Sarthak, who have been in the sneaker game for a while now, and their goal is to create a space where sneaker heads, and hype enthusiasts come together, play, have fun, and interact with one another.
While in conversation with the two, they gave us some insight into their vision for the Hype Room, and what the future holds. They have a plan to shake up the hype game in town, and give fans the ultimate one stop destination for hype culture.
They have taken inspiration from Hype stores around the world, and are bringing this culture to Lucknow. Their goal is to get people talking, create a community, set up pop up exhibitions, and, eventually, organize sneaker meets where people can share their beloved stories of how they copped their first pair of kicks.
This epiphanic idea came to these guys about two years back, during the height of Covid, when they would collaborate, and help their audience cop sneakers and rare drops. The plans for Hype Room were set in motion back in December 2021, and this place is opening its doors to Lucknow’s audience very soon.
What is the Hype Room anyway?
It is essentially India’s first hybrid hype club which focuses on sneakers and all kinds of hype merch. The Hype Room will have a huge exhibition area, an arcade zone, in addition to a full fledged bar, seating service and all sorts of delectable food from various international cuisines.
It is one of the most unique and different restrobars coming to town, and if you’re even a little bit into the hype culture, this is the place where you’ve got to be at.
