IIT Kanpur has yet again added another feature to its cap. First-time winner, the institute, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Best Assisted Technology Initiatives by Educational Institutes’ under the enablers category of ATF Awards, 2023. The award ceremony took place at Bangalore Palace during the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2023.
Apart from the above, the institute also bagged the awards for ‘Haptic smartwatch for blind and visually impaired’, ‘Single Refreshable Braille Cell Based Braille Learning Device with a Touch Sensitive’ and ‘Assistive Application for Children with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia (AACDD)’.

The aim of these awards is to recognise the unsung heroes who have significantly impacted the lives of people with disabilities worldwide through the potential of Assistive Technology (AT).
