On Thursday, actors, Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna announced that they have started shooting for their next film ‘Mission Majnu’, which is slated to be shot in Lucknow and Mumbai. “A special one with a special team. #MissionMajnu, day 1,” Sidharth tweeted. This upcoming movie would also mark the debut of Rashmika Mandanna, who works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada-language films, in Bollywood. The film also features actors Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra in prime roles.

Sidharth Malhotra was earlier spotted in the city for Jabariya Jodi, which was released in 2019. As per reports, the shooting schedule for his latest movie will be spanning over 45 days. Mission Majnu’s lead actress, Rashmika Mandanna was quoted saying, “Ahhhh… I sooooo can’t wait to join my team. Let the mission start!!! #MissionMajnu.”
This espionage thriller, directed by Shantanu Bagchi and penned by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arora, and Sumit Batheja, is based on an ambitious covert operation of India and is inspired by real events of the 1970s.
It is the story of an Indian mission in Pakistan. The crew will be clocked filming at Hazratganj’s Jahangirabad Palace, La Martiniere, Malihabad and also on the city roads. Mission Majnu will be on the big screens later this year, as per the current schedule .
