6 PM to 6 AM curfew in Jaipur & all districts of Rajasthan to check 2nd COVID wave

Alerted by a perturbing hike in COVID numbers, the Rajasthan government has declared night curfew shall be imposed in all districts of the state from April 16 to 30. It has been stated that markets, offices and commercial areas will not be allowed to function during the time period of the curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM. In accordance with this, all aforesaid spaces will have to be closed by 5 PM ensuring that citizens reach home by 6.

In wake of the surging rise of coronavirus infection in Jaipur, the District Collectors have designated special powers to several public officers in the city to declare micro-containment zones across the city. Labelled as incident commanders, these municipal and development authority associates, by authority, have announced 69 areas prominent areas here as micro containment zones. This seclusion will help the authorities to break the chain of contact spread and transmission of the deadly COVID-19 infection.

COVID surge in Rajasthan: Night curfew in Jaipur & 8 other cities till April 30, from 8 PM to 6 AM

In a bid to break the chain of rapid coronavirus infection in Rajasthan, the state cabinet has imposed a night curfew in 9 districts here. As per the order, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Abu Road will observe a night curfew with immediate effect till April 30, from 8 PM to 6 AM. The order also stated that the night curfew in Udaipur will begin at 6 PM and will stretch till 6 AM, each day to check the rampant infection spread here.

Second wave of COVID-19 gains strength in Jaipur; about 658 test positive in a single day

The COVID-19 infection graph in Jaipur is shaping into another peak despite the continuous efforts of the municipal authorities of both Heritage and Greater corporations. About 658 new infections were reported here in a single day, taking the total tally up to 64,896 and an active caseload of 4,087, reportedly the highest in the state. Special teams are now deployed within municipal limits to take strict action against violators of COVID-19, seal enterprises and institutes to gate the flooding rise in cases due to the second wave of infection.

Jaipur & other Rajasthan districts to abide by new guidelines till April 19 amid COVID spike

After a high-level review meeting conducted on Sunday night, new guidelines have been announced in Rajasthan, in wake of the rampant rise of COVID-19 cases. The order binds Jaipur and other state districts under strict restrictions from April 5 to April 19 to flatten the infection curve here. As per directives, all cinema halls, amusement parks and swimming pools in the state will remain closed during these 15 days, as a defence against the pandemic.
