Famed as one of the most prestigious sports grounds in Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur's Green Park Stadium has witnessed a string of interesting cricket tournaments. Now, this centre is all set for an upgrade with the proposed establishment of a visitors' gallery and the pavilion project at the Old Directors pavilion. As per reports, Smart City Ltd has already approved this scheme and it is estimated that a sum of ₹5 crores will be used for setting up the visitors' gallery.

Mega vaccination centre at Green Park in Kanpur will soon hold drives for 5,000 people daily!

Aiming to increase the scope of immunisation, the authorities in Kanpur have buckled up their efforts to make sure that a large part of the city population stands inoculated soon. As per the latest developments, the officials are now trying to increase the count of daily vaccinations at Green Park International Stadium, to 5,000. Reportedly, the centre started with 1200 daily vaccinations after being launched and now it inoculates nearly 3,800 beneficiaries across 17 booths.

Mega vaccination centre at Kanpur's Greenpark to witness drives across 17 booths from today!

In a bid to augment Kanpur's inoculation program, the mega vaccination centre established at the Green Park Stadium is all set for amplified drives across 17 booths from today onwards. Reportedly, this initiative is targeted towards vaccinating a total of 3,000 individuals daily. For this purpose, two booths have been set up in New Player Pavillion while two spots have been designated in the Director Pavillion, as stated by reports. This adds to the count of 11 booths already functional in the stadium complex.

Having been a witness to all three formats of cricket, the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has successfully conducted over 500 test matches. Now, the historic stadium complex is all set for a revamp with proposed introductions of a visitors gallery, pavilion and cricket museum within its premises. According to reports, the state administration and sports authority have already issued a no-objection certificate, furthering the execution of the project.
