Lucknow Airport rolls out special services for pregnant women, elderlies & differently-abled

Lucknow Airport administration has rolled out a list of schemes for the benefit of differently-abled passengers, pregnant women and the elderly. Under this initiative, dedicated parking spots at the pick-up and drop-off points have been created for these individuals. In addition to this, the project entails the reservation of seats for passengers with special needs, at the boarding gates. Priority rooms for security checks will also be set up.

On-spot RT-PCR testing facility at Lucknow Airport to ease commute for international flyers

Amping up the city's guard against the fatal contagion, an instant RT-PCR testing facility has been started at the Lucknow Airport. Reportedly, on-spot RT-PCR tests will be conducted for international flyers under the scheme and 30 real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) machines have been set up for this purpose. With the inception of this initiative, passengers will be free from the hassle of getting their tests done as the facility is available at the airport itself.

Lucknow's CCS Airport to house an aircraft maintenance centre soon!

Amid a string of developments being witnessed at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow, an aircraft maintenance hub will be established at this station soon. Once the latest facility is launched, all issues related to the air vehicles will be fixed using domestic resources, without the need for an engineer from Delhi or Mumbai. Besides, it is expected that this centre would also usher an array of employment opportunities for the youngsters.

Lucknow Airport's upcoming solar energy expansion project to foster a 'clean & green' future!

The Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport is now set to expand the integration of solar lighting in its premises. The effort to build a solar park near the Air Traffic Control (ATC) area, was proposed in the year 2018 but the project was stopped midway due to certain reasons. However, it has been picked up again. Further, a message highlighting how Lucknow Airport is striving for a green future with solar panels already installed on its roof, was also shared via Twitter to mark World Environment Day, earlier last month.

Lucknow Airport officials announce revised parking fees & heavy fines for those causing jams!

With an objective to deter people from crowding around the Lucknow Aiport premises, the authorities in charge have intervened with provisions for a heightened fine amount. As per reports, a fine of up to ₹1,000 will be levied on the defaulters, whose actions lead to jams or a ruckus outside the airport. In Addition to this, the parking charges for stationing vehicles in the complex of Lucknow Metro have also been re-evaluated.
