Terminal 1 of Mumbai Airport reopens for the public today

The Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has resumed flight operations from Terminal 1 (T-1) after the 6 month-long COVID-19 induced hiatus. All domestic services of four airlines, namely GoFirst, AirAsia India, Star Air and TruJet, will be shifted to this base from Wednesday. Until now, international and domestic operations were being operated from Terminal 2 (T-2), which is largely used for overseas flights.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Int'l Airport in Mumbai to now operate under Adani management

Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), a unit of Adani Enterprises Ltd., on Tuesday took management control of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport(CSMIA) from the GVK Group. The control has been granted after approvals from the Union Government of Maharashtra and Maharashtra City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).

Mumbai Int'l Airport cancels 6 flights to eastern India today in wake of Cyclone Yaas

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has cancelled a total of 6 flights to eastern India to avert the fury of Cyclone Yass. As per reports, the 'very severe cyclonic storm' made a landfall in Odisha at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, bringing heavy rains and ferocious winds in its wake. Consequently, the airport authorities have cancelled 3 inbound and 3 outgoing flights between Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata today.

​Tauktae impact: 7 flights diverted from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Int'l Airport on Monday

Cyclone Tauktae unleashed havoc along the Mumbai coast on Monday, washing the city and neighbouring suburbs with very heavy rains and strong winds. Faced with the threats of turbulent weather, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai shut all its operation from 11 hours, from 11 AM to 10 PM on Monday. As per reports, about 7 inbound flights were diverted during this period.

Covishield Vaccine in Mumbai: 1st batch from Pune's Serum Institute reaches the city today

The municipal authority of Mumbai, BMC has received its first consignment of the 'Covishield' vaccine form the Pune-based Serum Institute of India. As per reports, over 1.39 lakh shots of the coronavirus vaccine arrived in the city in a special vehicle of the BMC, early on Wednesday morning. The BMC has notified that the first batch of vaccine vials will be transported to the designated 72 vaccination centres, across the city, to prepare them ahead of the nationwide inoculation drive which is set to being on January 16.
