With Lucknowites’ favourite Exer Club being its ancestral home, 1 LBS Cafe whips up an array of coffee choices with ingredients sourced from all over India. While LBS uses South Indian coffee beans sourced from Ratnagiri, they plan to explore parts of Kohima and Himalayas for high-quality and authentic beans.
The cafe’s premium-quality imported ingredients include French Elle and Vire dairy whipping cream, Valrhona chocolate, flour from the Himalayas, African vanilla beans and Cremeitalia cheese. The adept folks here also practise manual brewing methods and use Syphon in Thogarihunkal coffee beans, V60, cold brewing method and more.

While the coffee products have a fixed menu, the food menu is dynamic. So, you can expect new items being added to the cafe every week! Coming to its origin story — 1 LBS Cafe is owned and run by a couple (that’s the dream, right? A couple running a cute cafe!). While Ved follows his passion and is a marine engineer-turned-pastry chef, Twinkle is a textile designer and promotes local crafts of India through her brand, HOMEBOUND.
So, if you’re a fan of earthy items, you can also indulge in shopping for handcrafted products from HOMEBOUND like some cute ceramics and mugs at display here!
