After implementing paperless bills for the electricity consumers of Indore, efforts are being made to send bills through different means. As part of this, it has now been decided to send electricity bills in Indore on Telegram as well. Madhya Pradesh Public Work Department (MPPWD) stated that once the electricity bills in Indore is generated it will immediately be available on the application.
Managing bills made easy
Through this initiative, West Zone Electrical Distribution Company is trying to make the electric payment mechanism easier and prompt. Easy excess to bills on customer’s mobile phones through the Telegram application will lessen the paper cost and reduce delay in service due to postal service.
Officials at Information Technology Department of Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran (MPPKVV), informed that the billing software of the electricity company has been linked with Telegram. As soon as the bill is generated, this bill will be visible in the form of PDF to the concerned registered consumer on Telegram.
To receive electricity bills on Telegram, the number of the subscriber is required to be registered with the electricity company and Telegram services. The users then have to click on @mpwizbillbot in the Telegram Messenger app. Once registered in this process, every month the consumers will continue to receive the electricity bill PDF on Telegram.
