The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) has launched special one-day guided tours from Lucknow to Ayodhya and Naimisharanya to mark World Tourism Day on September 27. The initiative aims to combine spirituality with convenience. The packages include guided storytelling, lunch, refreshments and a souvenir.

Naimisharanya Tour: Chakratirth, Vyas Gaddi and Lalita Devi Temple.

Ayodhya Tour: Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanumangarhi and Ram ki Paidi
Additionally, a special ‘Sur Sadhana’ programme will run across more than two dozen religious and tourist sites in the state. The initiative will showcase folk singing, bhajans, kirtans, folk dance, drama, puppetry, classical music, storytelling and poetry recitation.
Support for Local Artists
The government has also announced financial assistance for artists:

₹15,000 for folk dance performers

₹10,000 for bhajan and folk singers

₹5,000 for other artists including puppeteers and storytellers
Special discounts are being offered to senior citizens, who can book directly via the UPSTDC website.
