Sweets are something we all like to indulge in, some maybe more than others. A good dessert can help you sort all your cravings, make your mouth water or simply give you a well earned sugar high. Kanpur today has several great places where you can go to, to find the fix of sugar that you’ve been craving for.
So here’s a list of all of our favourite (non-traditional) sweet stops in Kanpur where we like to find everything decadent and nice.
1. Lathika’s Thalia
Lathika’s Thalia is undoubtedly the first place that pops up in our head when we think of desserts. The kind of cakes and sweets you can find at Lathika’s are difficult to find elsewhere in the city. From the cinnamon covered, light and fluffy churros to chocolaty tarts and layered cakes, everything here tastes delicious and looks like a hundred bucks.

2. Eclair
Eclair is another gem of a place where you can head to find the best of doughnuts, eclairs (as the name suggests) and some stunning cup cakes. The place is known for serving weird and quirky donuts and cup cakes so cute, you wouldn’t be able to stop yourself from clicking a picture or two!

3. Upper Crust
Upper Crust is where you go when looking for a layered cake so stunning, it puts you in awe. Though the cakes here are not the only thing we’re a fan of, the stunning cup cakes, pastries and tarts are exactly what you need when craving something so sweet it’ll put you in a coma.

4. 99 Pancakes
If you’re the kind who just gushes over everything mini and cute, you should beeline straight to the 99 pancakes outlet in Kanpur. The place serves some deliciously fluffy mini pancakes that come with an accoutrement of toppings and flavours. While the waffles here will satiate your sugar craving as well as your hunger. Plus, you can also get yummy shakes here.

5. Bakista
Bakista is a classic in Kanpur. We cannot make a list of sweet joints and not include Bakista in the mix. The kind of grub you find here is familiar and comfortable. You will not find a better decked up chocolate pastry than the ones served here. Plus, the savouries are pretty great too.
